How to get in contact

Where to turn if your rights have been violated

What does the law say?

All the rights which children have through the Children’s Convention shall permeate Swedish legislation. This means that all the rules of the Children’s Convention will be reflected in our Swedish legislation.

Rules from the Children’s Convention can therefore be found in several different laws, for example the Children and Parents Code, the Social Services Act and the Penal Code. As a child, you should be protected from bullying, sexual assault, mistreatment, honour-related oppression and violence and from being married off against your will, etc. Here we have selected a few laws to describe in a little more detail.
