If you feel threatened
It can happen that you feel threatened or afraid of a person who has subjected you to a criminal offence. If the police assess that there is a risk that this may happen again, you can be offered various types of protection.
This could be a restraining order, for example, which means that the person may not visit or contact you, for example, via telephone. The order may also mean that the person may not be near your home, school or job. It is easier to get protection if you have made a report, but you DO NOT need to have made a report in order to get help.
