This is how you hide your visit

The reason we have a panic button is because certain people feel threatened and watched over and they want to keep the websites that they visit secret. Your Rights want everyone to feel safe and this is why we offer a quick way to leave our website, should you need to.

The panic button

This takes you quickly to another web page, should you feel threatened. But this button does not clear the information which is stored in your computer. To delete the “history” you must clear the information, which just takes a couple of clicks. Do this when you feel safe. If you find yourself in a stressful situation, first of all press the panic button.

Clearing your tracks in Internet Explorer

To clear everything. To remove all private information from a computer, click on Tools. Select Remove web history. If you want to remove all traces after you have finished surfing, select Remove all. Please note that this deletes everything and that it is not possible to get back the information you have deleted.

Choosing what you want to delete. If you want to choose what is to be deleted, click the five buttons above Remove all. Here you can delete temporary files, cookies, previously visited sites, formula data and passwords. You must therefore choose yourself what you want to remove and what you want to keep.

Never save. In order that no information shall ever be saved when you are surfing, click on Tools, Internet alternatives, General. Choose Settings. Enter 0 at the bottom. To not save passwords and web addresses select ToolsInternet alternatives, Content, Complete automatically, Settings. Remove the ticks in the boxes.

Clearing your tracks in Firefox

To clear everything To remove all private information from a computer, click on Tools.Select Clear sensitive data. Tick all boxes and choose Clear now. Please note that this deletes everything and that it is not possible to get back the information you have deleted.

Choosing what you want to delete. If you want to choose what is to be deleted, tick the relevant boxes. You can choose to clear the web browser history, the file management history, saved formula data, cache files, cookies, passwords and authenticated sessions. You must therefore choose yourself what you want to remove and what you want to keep.

Never save. In order that no information shall ever be saved when you are surfing, click on Tools, Settings, Secrecy. Here you can remove the ticks in the boxes under History if you do not want the program to remember your surfing history. You can also tick the box Always clear sensitive data when Firefox closes down.

To clear everything. To remove all private information from a computer, click on History. If you want to remove all traces after you have finished surfing, select Clear history. Please note that this deletes everything and that it is not possible to get back the information you have deleted.

Choosing what you want to delete. If you want to choose what is to be deleted, click on Show all history. In this way you choose yourself what you want to remove and what you want to keep.

Firewalls

If there is a firewall installed at your home, at school or at work, for example, it can store the web pages which you have visited. This may also incorporate parent control so that certain sites cannot be viewed. In order to avoid revealing what you have been looking at, there are certain services that you must use, to allow anonymous surfing. These services can be found on the Internet and they are often services which must be paid for.

InPrivate surfing

With InPrivate surfing you can surf without leaving any tracks. To activate InPrivate surfing, press Ctrl+Shift+P. Or do one of the following:

To activate InPrivate surfing in Internet Explorer:

Click on the Security button and then on InPrivate surfing.

Open a new tab and click on Open a window in InPrivate surfing.

To activate InPrivate surfing in Firefox:

Click on the Tools button and then Start private surfing.
